Cricket 2003

It was really inspirational reading the article and congratulations on the great work you and your team have accomplished. Looking at the org. and the events grow makes me feel that what we have accomplished in the past are small and makes me look forward to much bigger things in the future.

The press report for the Vibha cricket tour't 2003 was very well written. It covered all the aspects. You guys did a very good job in organizing this tour't, hats off to you all. Special thanks to Vijay and Mallik in doing great job in umpiring and handling situations without any problem.

The Chattanooga VOLS team enjoyed the tour't. Conducting tour't in 2 weeks is a good format, it gave us some rest too. We all know that we disappointed you by not entering the finals. Anyhow we guys are already eager for next years tour't. See you all then, bye.

Radha (Chattanooga Vols)

Srinivas, Hats off to you and your team mates who gave an exuberant tournament. As much as we enjoyed playing and watching the games.

Probably we were close to have had an opportunity to show our talents with our game against Webb Bridge Sixers lost a nail biting finish. We did our Best. There is always next time.

Srinivas, fabulous job indeed!!! As a casual observer, I could easily notice the sea change year-by-year in how this event is being planned and executed.

It's definite fun to participate in the tournament.

About the last-minute teams that you are unable to help, how about introducing some sort of auctioning off of the last 6-8 spots? So you could say that first 40 teams that register and pay before so and so date before the event are in. The rest of the spots will be auctioned off on the Saturday/Sunday before the event. Just a thought to maximize revenue/opportunity...

Srini, Some thoughts after this wonderful Vibha experience.

1. Most teams would willingly participate twice a year. September may work, as the weather is comparable to May.

2. Four games in one day is truly a test of stamina !!  If possible, let's have only the quarters and beyond on the final day.

Srini, This is Sanjay of the Web Bridge Sixers. What a tournament that was !!

It was still sinking in on Sunday ... going from a motley group of ex-cricket-fanatics that never had more than 7 healthy batsmen to a hardened team that held its nerve to win the finals on the last ball !! It has been a great experience for all of us and we appreciate all that you guys did to organize the event.

Sanjay

Hi Srinivas, You guys did a tremendous job of organizing the tournament last week. Hope the weather stays good this saturday.

If we know this (reserve day for bad weather) a bit early, we can adjust our personal schedules accordingly. Also, it would help if we know the timings for our games as soon as possible.

You guys are doing a great job this gives hope to me that all is not lost for INDIA & there is still hope.

Suggestion: Since now you are conducting Day/Night games you should switch the color of the Balls from Maroon/Red  to Bright Yellow or White
