Vibhawalk Super 16 Tournament Format

Primus - Delta Infosys Vibha Super-16 tournament

1. 16 teams are invited.

2. All the four semi-finalists of the \"FutureTech Vibha Cricket Cup\" will go straight to the Quarter-finals. They will be ranked according to their performance in that cup.

3. The other 12 teams will be divided into 4 Pools of 3 teams each.

4. Each team within a pool will play with the other two teams (Round Robin format). All these 12 first round matches (3 in each pool) will be finished on Saturday, June 18.

5. The top team from each pool will reach the quarter-finals. (In case of a tie in the number of matches won, the Net-Run-Rate in that round will decide the winner). These 4 teams will be ranked as per the Net-Run-Rates in this round.

6. The rest of the tournament (Quarter-finals, Semifinals, and finals) will be on a knock-out basis. These 7 matches will be played on Sunday, starting from 8AM.

All the players are requested to keep themselves available for both the days.

If the Net-Run-Rate does not break the tie, then the tie will be broken by the following criteria,
in that order:

a. the team that looses minimum number of wickets in all the matches in that round will advance.

b. If (a) does not break the tie, the team that scores more number of runs in all the matches in that
round will advance.
